Labrang Tashi Kyil, located in eastern Tibet, was one of the largest monasteries destroyed during the Chinese Cultural Revolution.In 1967, a group of exiled monks arrived in India and rebuilt their monastery in Dehradun, India. Read more about our monastery here.
Six monks from Tashi Kyil Monastery, Dehradun, India have been touring the United States to educate the public about the culture and Buddhist practices of Tibet. All donations received on tour fund young monks’ education at the monastery. Click here to learn about our US tours.
The Tashi Kyil Monastery has founded the new Tashi Kyil Tibetan Buddhist Institute in Kingston, New York. The center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Learn more about our center here.
